Blue Flag Program
Clear Waters, Clean Beaches, Safety, and Access for All
The Blue Flag program awards beaches and marinas with the prestigious international eco-label granted by the FEE – Foundation of Environmental Education. Since its launch in 1987, approximately 5,000 sites across 50 countries have been awarded the Blue Flag.
A beach or marina receives the Blue Flag after demonstrating compliance with international standards for sustainability, water quality, maintenance, accessibility for diverse populations and people with disabilities, and environmental education activities for the general public.
EcoOcean is the exclusive representative of the Blue Flag program in Israel and ensures compliance with the program’s strict criteria.
