Traveling Exhibition: Discovering the Sea / Israel Sea the Future

EcoOcean sees great importance in exposing and disseminating information about the sea to the general public. For this purpose, it was decided to create a traveling exhibition that will present visually and uniquely the uses, challenges and possibilities in developing and preserving Israel’s sea resources. The message that emerges from the exhibition is that sea and environs are an inseparable part of the State of Israel and there is a great potential, but also many challenges in preserving and improving the marine and coastal environment.

Among the topics presented in the exhibition: marine education and research, archeology, biodiversity, nature reserves, water desalination, oil and gas exploration and production, the problems of waste on the beaches and more.

As of today, there are two versions of the exhibition. The first, in English, continues to wander through the United States after a successful round that included the annual conference of North American Jews in Washington, the National Aquarium in Baltimore and the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. The second version, in Hebrew and Arabic, is currently installed at the University of Haifa and from there will continue to other places in Israel.

The exhibition is accompanied by films, manuals, a computer stand with a children’s tutorial, 3D models, encrypted questions and answers, and more.
